Eddie Sheehan is a Singer/ Guitarist from Fethard in County Tipperary, now living in Edinburgh, Scotland. He writes his own songs and delivers great versions of songs from a treasure trove of Irish writers. It was while growing up in the valley of the Slievenamon Mountain in South Tipperary that Eddie quickly gained a reputation for being a “natural” in the art of Ballad singing, following in his Father’s footsteps. “The Clancy Brothers and Tommy Makem”, Luke Kelly and “The Fureys and Davey Arthur” were the prominent influences of the day and many songs were learned purely by osmosis.

It is no surprise then that Eddie has a strong proud vocal style and this is complimented by an unwavering rhythmic Guitar approach all of which has given him a reputation for high quality live performances stretching over a 30 year career. He loves working with the audience to create something special, music coupled with fun, energy and emotion.

Eddie Sheehan is a founding member of renowned Celtic Rockers “Toss The Feathers” from Manchester, with whom he was the Singer/Guitarist for 8 years. “I met Michael McGoldrick and Dezi Donnelly at a session in Manchester in August 1987, that night everything changed, it was magic”. During that time, (1987-94), the band recorded 3 albums and toured extensively in Europe. It was with TTF that Eddie first came to the forefront of the contemporary Irish music scene, playing at the “The Finsbury Park Fleadh in London”, “Heineken Big Top Tour”, Filmed for TV programme “Bringing It All Back Home” and playing at many of Europe’s top festivals. In 2007 he won the Senior Sean Nós Singing Leinster Fleadh Title and qualified for the All Ireland Fleadh in Tullamore, Co. Offaly.

In recent years Eddie has been performing mostly as a solo musician in Ireland, the UK and Scandinavia, continuing to enjoy the gift of singing and writing music. Eddie released two albums in the last three years “Let The Light In” in 2014 and just recently in August 2017 he released his new album Sharing a Song.
